Primary Role:



The Pharmacy Aide supports the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Incharge in ensuring the smooth functioning of the hospital pharmacy. This includes assisting in the dispensing of medications, maintaining inventory control, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Medication Support & Dispensing:

Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescribed medicines to inpatients and outpatients under supervision. Ensure correct labeling, dosage, and packaging of medicines. Maintain accuracy while handling prescription records.

Inventory & Stock Management:

Monitor and record stock levels regularly. Assist in receiving, verifying, and storing new medical supplies. Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to prevent medicine expiry. Report low stock, expired, or damaged items promptly to the Incharge.

Documentation & Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate daily transaction records of medicines issued and received. Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly pharmacy reports. Ensure all documentation complies with hospital policy and audit standards.

Patient & Department Coordination:

Support the dispensing of medications to various hospital departments, wards, and units. Communicate effectively with nursing and medical staff regarding medicine availability. Provide courteous and efficient service to patients and staff.

Storage & Safety Compliance:

Maintain proper storage conditions for all pharmaceuticals as per manufacturer and NABH standards. Follow safety protocols in handling and disposing of medicines. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.

Support in Billing & System Entry:

Enter prescriptions and issue details accurately into the hospital software. Assist in generating patient bills and verifying quantities issued. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all data entries.

Regulatory & Quality Standards:

Adhere to hospital, pharmacy, and NABH guidelines. Participate in periodic audits and inspections. Assist in quality improvement initiatives of the pharmacy department.

Other Duties:

Support the Pharmacist in any additional administrative or operational tasks. Attend departmental meetings and training sessions as assigned. Uphold the hospital's values of service, ethics, and patient care at all times.

Skill Requirements:



Basic knowledge of medicines and dosage forms. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and ability to work in a team. Computer literacy (hospital pharmacy software preferred). Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow protocols.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,500.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
