Job Description

Key Responsibilities



Assist the Pharmacist in dispensing prescription and non-prescription medicines. Provide information and guidance to customers on the proper use of medications and general health products (under pharmacist supervision). Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, sales, and stock. Manage inventory: receive, unpack, and store pharmaceutical supplies. Label medicines and package prescriptions for customers. Process billing, handle cash/card transactions, and maintain point-of-sale systems. Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, health & safety regulations, and confidentiality standards. Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked pharmacy environment. Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining patient profiles. Provide excellent customer service and respond to queries in a professional manner.

Skills & Competencies



Basic knowledge of medicines and healthcare products. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling prescriptions. Customer service orientation. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in computer and billing software.

Qualifications



High school diploma or equivalent (mandatory). Certification/Diploma in Pharmacy Assistance or related field (preferred). Prior experience in a pharmacy or retail healthcare setting is an advantage.
