Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to ensure the safe and effective use of medications by patients and healthcare providers, dispensing prescriptions, providing expert drug information, managing pharmacy operations, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Medication Dispensing & Verification:

Accurately review, interpret, and dispense physician's prescriptions; package, label, and prepare medications.

Patient Counseling:

Advise patients on proper drug usage, dosages, side effects, storage, and potential interactions.

Drug Therapy Monitoring:

Monitor patient drug therapies to prevent harmful interactions and ensure efficacy; perform medication therapy management (MTM).

Inventory & Operations:

Organize pharmacy, manage stock, order supplies, and remove outdated drugs.

Compliance:

Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations (DEA, FDA, HIPAA).

Collaboration:

Communicate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate patient profiles, prescription records, and controlled substance logs.

Staff Supervision:

Oversee pharmacy technicians and interns, verifying their work.

Health Services:

Administer immunizations and conduct health screenings (e.g., blood pressure).

Qualifications & Skills:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree & State licensure. Strong understanding of pharmacology, drug interactions, and therapeutics. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Proficiency with pharmacy software and electronic health records (EHR). Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
