Pharmacy professional (Pharmacist) ensures safe dispensing of medications, evaluates prescriptions, and advises patients on proper drug usage. In addition, they collaborate with healthcare teams to optimise patient therapy, manage medication records, and prevent drug interactions. Key Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medicines accurately and verify proper dosages. Review patient prescriptions for potential drug interactions and contraindications. Counsel patients on medication usage, side-effects, and lifestyle advice. Maintain and monitor pharmacy inventory to ensure stock availability. Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical laws, safety, and ethical standards. Coordinate with doctors and healthcare staff on patient treatment plans. Document and manage patient medication records for continuity of care. Handle expired or recalled medicines, safely disposing or returning stock.

Skill & Experience

Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug mechanisms, and therapeutic use. Excellent communication skills to effectively counsel patients on medication. Attention to detail for accurate dispensing and prescription verification. Organizational ability for inventory management and regulatory compliance. Critical thinking to identify drug interactions and patient-specific risks. Teamwork and collaboration skills to work with healthcare professionals.
