Job Description

Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions, including verifying patient information, measuring and labeling medications, and ensuring accuracy. Support licensed pharmacists by reviewing medication orders and checking for potential drug interactions. Follow all safety and regulatory guidelines in handling, storing, and disposing of medications. Greet customers and respond to inquiries regarding prescription refills, medication pick-up, and general health questions. Provide information on medication use, side effects, and possible interactions under the guidance of the supervising pharmacist. Address and resolve basic customer service issues, referring complex questions to the licensed pharmacist. Monitor and organize pharmacy inventory, including restocking shelves, tracking expiration dates, and conducting inventory counts. Assist in ordering medications and supplies, ensuring sufficient stock for daily operations. Maintain accurate records of all dispensed medications and transactions, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. Adhere to all state, federal, and company regulations regarding pharmacy operations and medication handling. Participate in training on new pharmacy procedures, systems, and regulatory updates.

Qualifications:

Experience working with a retail pharmacy preferably Jan Aushadhi. Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Knowledge of pharmacy systems and medication dispensing is a plus. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following safety protocols. May require working evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on pharmacy hours.
