Job Summary:

The Hospital Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications, ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals, and providing accurate drug-related information to healthcare professionals and patients. The role primarily supports Outpatient (OP) pharmacy operations and contributes to overall patient care and positive treatment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Outpatient Pharmacy (OP):

Dispense prescribed medications to ambulatory (walk-in) patients Counsel patients on proper medication use, dosage, side effects, and storage Verify prescription accuracy and authenticity Maintain inventory and ensure continuous availability of essential medications Coordinate with physicians to clarify prescriptions or recommend suitable alternatives Manage prescription records and billing processes

2. General Duties:

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, national drug regulations, and safety standards Participate in quality improvement programs and audit activities Maintain accurate documentation and inventory systems Provide drug-related information and training to healthcare staff when required Support emergency preparedness (crash carts, emergency medications) Report adverse drug reactions (ADR) and medication errors through appropriate channels Work Location : Red Hills
