Roles & Responsibilities
Check prescriptions from doctors to ensure accuracy, legality, and appropriateness.
Dispense medications accurately and in a timely manner.
Counsel patients on correct usage, dosage, and side effects of medications.
Respond to patient queries regarding medicines .
Ensure all pharmacy products are handled responsibly and stored at the correct temperature.
Regularly check stock levels and expiry dates to maintain inventory integrity.
Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately at the pharmacy counter.
Prepare and maintain daily sales reports and reconcile cash.
Assist in strategies to increase OTC (Over-the-Counter) medicine sales.
Manage medicine returns and update stock accordingly.
Support overall pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and patient safety standards.
Qualification
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (D.Pharm / B.Pharm).
Valid license/registration with State Pharmacy Council - Mandatory
Experience
2plus years of experience in a hospital pharmacy is preferred.
Skill
Strong knowledge of medicines, prescriptions, and pharmacy practices.
Good communication skills for patient counseling and answering queries.
Basic computer skills for billing and maintaining sales reports.
