The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medicines, providing patient counseling, and ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards. The role requires accurate prescription handling, inventory management, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medicines accurately.
Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure suitability for the patient.
Provide advice on dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
Maintain proper storage and security of medicines.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (Drugs & Cosmetics Act, Pharmacy Act, etc.).
Manage stock levels, place orders, and check expiry dates.
Keep accurate records of prescriptions and controlled drugs.
Handle customer queries professionally and ethically.
Promote health awareness and vaccination programs (if applicable).
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (D.Pharm / B.Pharm).
Valid pharmacist license/registration with State Pharmacy Council.
Knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and dosage requirements.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing.
Basic computer knowledge for billing and record-keeping.
