Job Description

Medication dispensing:

Accurately fill prescriptions by compounding, packaging, and labeling medications according to physician orders and legal standards.

Patient counseling:

Educate patients on correct dosage, administration, potential side effects, and drug interactions to promote adherence and safety.

Clinical services:

Administer immunizations and perform health screenings as permitted by law.

Collaboration:

Work with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize treatment plans and resolve any medication-related issues.

Inventory and compliance:

Manage and maintain an accurate inventory of all medications, including controlled substances, and ensure proper storage and disposal of expired or damaged drugs.

Record keeping:

Maintain detailed and accurate patient profiles and all other required records, complying with all relevant laws and regulations.

Problem-solving:

Identify and resolve drug-related issues and advise patients on both prescription and over-the-counter products.
