Dispensing Medications

1. Fill prescriptions and dispense medications to patients

2. Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness

3. Ensure proper labeling and packaging of medications

Patient Counseling

1. Provide patients with information on proper medication use, side effects, and potential interactions

2. Counsel patients on disease management, prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices

3. Answer patient questions and concerns about medications

Medication Management

1. Monitor patient medication regimens for potential issues, such as interactions or allergies

2. Adjust medication regimens as needed to optimize patient outcomes

3. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement medication management plans

Clinical Services

1. Conduct health screenings, such as blood pressure and cholesterol checks

2. Provide immunizations and vaccinations

3. Offer medication therapy management (MTM) services to optimize patient medication regimens

Administrative Tasks

1. Manage pharmacy inventory and ordering

2. Maintain patient records and medication profiles

3. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize pharmacy services

Collaboration and Communication

1. Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

2. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure optimal patient outcomes

3. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and patient care conferences

Staying Current with Industry Developments

1. Stay up-to-date with new medications, therapies, and technologies

2. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities

3. Apply knowledge of industry developments to improve patient care and pharmacy services
