Dispensing & Accuracy: Verifying prescriptions for correct dosage, drug interactions, and potential allergies. Patient Counseling: Explaining how to take medication, potential side effects, and advising on over-the-counter (OTC) options. Inventory Management: Tracking stock levels, managing expiry dates (crucial for high-turnover products), and handling specialized storage like cold chain for vaccines. Regulatory Compliance: Maintaining precise records for scheduled drugs and ensuring the pharmacy meets legal standards. Health Promotion: Providing advice on general wellness, such as nutrition, smoking cessation, or managing chronic conditions like diabetes.
