JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated

Hospital Pharmacist

to join our Pharmacy Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and rational use of medications for inpatients and outpatients, supporting clinical teams, and maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. This role plays a critical part in patient care, medication safety, and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Review, verify, and dispense physician prescriptions accurately and safely Ensure correct medication selection, dosing, route, and frequency Provide clinical pharmacy services and medication counseling to patients Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on drug therapy decisions Monitor patient medication profiles for interactions, allergies, and contraindications Participate in ward rounds and clinical discussions where required Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, including controlled and high-risk medications Ensure proper storage, labeling, and documentation of medications Prepare and compound medications as per hospital protocols Report and document medication errors and adverse drug reactions Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and legal regulations Support antimicrobial stewardship, medication safety, and quality improvement initiatives Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff as needed Maintain accurate pharmacy records and electronic systems
Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy BPharm from a recognized institution Valid pharmacist license/registration with the relevant regulatory authority Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred (fresh graduates may apply if applicable) Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacology and hospital medications Familiarity with hospital information systems and electronic medical records Excellent communication and teamwork skills High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Work Environment

Hospital inpatient and outpatient pharmacy Rotational shifts, including weekends or on-call duties as required
