A pharmacist is a healthcare professional who works in pharmacies to fill prescriptions, educate patients, and ensure that patients receive safe and effective medication therapy.

Medication management

: Reviewing prescriptions, ensuring accurate fulfillment, and dispensing medications

Patient counseling

: Educating patients on medication use, potential side effects, and the best needles and injection locations

Drug interactions

: Reviewing medications for dangerous interactions and monitoring patients for adverse reactions

Vitamin recommendations

: Advising patients on prenatal vitamins and other supplements that can improve their chances of conceiving

Collaboration

: Working with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and ensure seamless patient care

Inventory management

: Maintaining inventory of medications and supplies

Protocol development

: Contributing to the development and implementation of pharmacy procedures

Professional development

: Engaging in continuous learning and professional development opportunities
Pharmacists need strong analytical, communication, mathematical, and multitasking skills. They also need basic computer skills to manage prescriptions, patient records, and insurance details.
