The Pharmacist is responsible for safe and accurate dispensing of medications, proper inventory management, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and statutory regulations to support patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense medicines accurately as per doctor's prescriptions.
Verify prescriptions for correctness and completeness.
Provide proper instructions and counseling to patients.
Maintain pharmacy stock, including expiry and near-expiry checks.
Ensure proper storage of medicines as per guidelines.
Maintain pharmacy records, registers, and documentation.
Follow Drug & Cosmetics Act and hospital policies.
Support billing and pharmacy software operations.
Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and safety in the pharmacy.
Report medication errors, shortages, or incidents to the Pharmacy In-Charge.
Assist during audits and inspections.
Qualifications & Requirements:
D.Pharm / B.Pharm /pharm D
Valid Pharmacy Council Registration
1-3 years experience in hospital pharmacy preferred
Basic computer knowledge
