Job Description

Dispense prescription medications accurately and in compliance with regulations. Review prescriptions for accuracy, proper dosage, and potential drug interactions. Counsel patients on the correct usage, dosage, side effects, and storage of medications. Ensure proper labeling and packaging of drugs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new medications and pharmacy practices. Monitor and maintain stock levels, expiry dates, and reorder medications as necessary. Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, health and safety standards, and internal SOPs. Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care. Maintain accurate patient and inventory records using pharmacy management systems. Educate patients on over-the-counter (OTC) medications and general health advice when needed. Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently. Participate in audits, inspections, and quality checks as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's or Diploma in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / D.Pharm) from a recognized institution. Must be a registered pharmacist with the State Pharmacy Council (valid license mandatory). Proven experience in a hospital, retail, or clinical pharmacy preferred. Strong understanding of pharmaceutical calculations, drug interactions, and dosages. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer literacy and familiarity with pharmacy software systems. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
