Dispensing medications

: Preparing, choosing, and dispensing medications for patients

Advising patients

: Providing information about medications and their use, and counseling patients on the effects of drugs

Advising healthcare professionals

: Advising physicians and other healthcare workers on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications

Managing medication inventory

: Managing medication inventory and usage in hospitals

Ensuring medication safety

: Ensuring the safety and efficacy of medications

Monitoring drug charts

: Ensuring that the correct medication is being provided to each patient

Participating in ward rounds

: Taking patient drug histories and ensuring safe and effective use of medications

Developing relationships

: Developing and building relationships within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Writing guidelines

: Writing guidelines for drug use within the hospital and implementing hospital regulations

Keeping up with research

: Keeping up to date with, and contributing to, research and development

Supervising staff

: Supervising the work of less experienced and less qualified staff

Pay: ?8,500.00 - ?9,500.00 per month
