Dispense prescription medications to inpatients and outpatients.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and availability of drugs.
Maintain accurate records of medications issued.
Review prescriptions for accuracy, interactions, and appropriateness.
Provide drug information and advice to medical and nursing staff.
Participate in ward rounds and clinical audits where applicable.
Educate patients about correct medication usage, dosages, and side effects.
Monitor patients for adverse drug reactions or allergies.
Ensure compliance with hospital and national drug policies.
Manage stock levels, orders, and inventory of pharmaceuticals.
Prevent expired or obsolete drugs from being used.
Ensure compliance with narcotics and controlled substance regulations.
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
Maintain documentation for audits, licensing, and accreditation.
