Job Description

The PGT Social Science Teacher will be responsible for teaching higher secondary students (classes IX-XII) subjects related to Social Science, such as History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, and Sociology, as per the curriculum guidelines. The role involves preparing engaging lesson plans, evaluating student progress, and creating an inspiring learning environment that fosters critical thinking and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the prescribed syllabus and academic calendar.

2.Teach Social Science subjects with clarity, ensuring concept-based understanding.

3.Prepare and implement creative teaching methods, including the use of technology and visual aids.

4.Design and evaluate assignments, projects, and examinations.

5.Guide students in academic research and extracurricular activities related to Social Science.

6.Maintain classroom discipline and encourage positive student behaviour.

7.Provide academic support and counselings to students when needed.

8.Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development programs.

9.Keep accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

1.Master's Degree in a Social Science subject (History / Geography / Political Science / Economics / Sociology) from a recognised university.

2.B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.

3.Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience at the higher secondary level preferred.

4.Strong command of the English language.

5.Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

6.Proficiency in using digital teaching tools and resources.
