Job Description

A PGT Punjabi Teacher is responsible for teaching Punjabi subject to students. The teacher should create an engaging learning environment, implement innovative teaching methods, and help students develop critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Curriculum Delivery

Teach Punjabi subject following the prescribed syllabus (CBSE/ICSE/State Board). Develop lesson plans and instructional materials. Use innovative teaching methods, including digital tools and interactive sessions. Conduct assessments, quizzes, and exams to evaluate student progress.

Classroom Management

Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment. Foster student engagement through discussions, debates, and group activities. Encourage critical thinking and curiosity among students.

Student Development

Identify and support students with different learning needs. Provide academic guidance and mentorship. Encourage participation in co-curricular activities related to Social Science.

Collaboration & Professional Development

Work with other teachers and staff to create interdisciplinary learning experiences. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs. Communicate with parents about student progress and concerns.

Administrative Duties

Maintain student records, attendance, and academic reports. Prepare question papers, assignments, and project guidelines. Ensure compliance with school policies and educational regulations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.ED.) with a focus on Punjabi (Mandatory).

Experience

: Minimum 1 year or Fresher of teaching experience preferred. Freshers with strong subject knowledge may also apply.

Skills

: Strong knowledge of Punjabi subject. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Proficiency in using digital teaching tools (Smart Boards, PPTs, Online Platforms). Ability to engage and motivate students.
