Job Description

TeachingPsychology teachers instruct students on topics such as mental characteristics, mental disorders, and cognitive processes. They prepare and deliver lectures, and create lesson plans and instructional materials. GradingPsychology teachers evaluate and grade students' work, including assignments, papers, and exams. They also maintain student attendance and grade records. Curriculum developmentPsychology teachers plan, evaluate, and revise course content, materials, and methods of instruction. They may also develop curriculum with colleagues. ResearchPsychology teachers may conduct research or experiments, and stay up-to-date with research in psychology. They may also publish in academic fields. Other responsibilitiesPsychology teachers may advise students on coursework or goals, work with school committees, and support extracurricular activities.
