The teacher develops students' understanding of psychological concepts, theories, and applications, while fostering critical thinking, empathy, and research skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Psychology curriculum as per the prescribed syllabus (e.g., CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
Prepare and deliver engaging, concept-based lessons using a variety of teaching methods.
Design and conduct formative and summative assessments, including practicals.
Guide students in psychological experiments and project work.
Promote mental health awareness and emotional intelligence among students.
Provide academic support and career guidance related to Psychology.
Maintain records of student progress, attendance, and behavioral observations.
Collaborate with fellow teachers and participate in school events, workshops, and staff meetings.
Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Psychology from a recognized university.
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent teaching qualification (as per school board norms).
Minimum 2-5 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level is preferred.
Strong command over English (or medium of instruction) and good classroom management skills.
