The PGT (Physics) teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective Physics instruction to senior secondary classes (Grades XI-XII), preparing students for board examinations and competitive exams, and fostering scientific curiosity and analytical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Physics to Classes XI and XII following the prescribed CBSE/ICSE/State/IB curriculum.
Prepare detailed lesson plans, teaching aids, and lab activities.
Conduct practical sessions in the Physics laboratory ensuring safety and proper use of equipment.
Assess student performance through tests, assignments, and lab work.
Provide academic guidance and mentoring to students for board and competitive exams (e.g., JEE/NEET).
Maintain records of student attendance, progress, and performance.
Participate in curriculum planning, departmental meetings, and professional development activities.
Support co-curricular and school events as part of overall student development.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff for cross-disciplinary integration.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification:
Master's Degree in Physics from a recognized university.
B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (mandatory for school teaching).
Experience:
Minimum 2-5 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level preferred.
Freshers with strong subject knowledge may also be considered.
Skills Required
Strong conceptual understanding of Physics.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to use digital tools and ICT for teaching.
Passion for teaching and mentoring students.
