The PGT Physics & Level Coordinator is responsible for delivering high-quality Physics instruction at the senior secondary level while coordinating and monitoring academic standards, curriculum implementation, and teacher performance for the assigned level. The role combines effective classroom teaching with academic leadership and coordination responsibilities.
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Physics lessons for Classes XI & XII as per CBSE/Board syllabus.
Ensure clear explanation of concepts, derivations, numerical problem-solving, and practical applications.
Prepare students for board examinations, competitive exams, and internal assessments.
Design worksheets, assignments, tests, and question papers aligned with learning objectives.
Conduct practical sessions and ensure proper lab usage and safety.
Evaluate answer scripts, maintain accurate academic records, and provide constructive feedback.
Integrate ICT tools, smart boards, and innovative teaching methodologies.
B. Level Coordination Responsibilities
Coordinate academic planning and execution for the assigned level (e.g., Senior Secondary).
Monitor syllabus coverage and ensure timely completion as per academic calendar.
Guide and mentor teachers in lesson planning, assessment strategies, and classroom management.
Conduct regular academic reviews, meetings, and peer observations.
Track student performance, analyze results, and initiate improvement plans.
Ensure uniformity in teaching standards, assessments, and evaluation practices.
Support remedial, enrichment, and examination preparedness programs.
C. Administrative & Communication Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between teachers, students, parents, and school management.
Address academic concerns and provide timely solutions in coordination with school leadership.
Assist in timetable planning, substitution management, and academic documentation.
Support school activities, events, workshops, and teacher training programs.
Ensure compliance with school policies, CBSE norms, and academic guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification:
M.Sc. in Physics
B.Ed. (Mandatory)
Experience:
Minimum 5-7 years of teaching experience at senior secondary level
Prior experience in academic coordination or leadership is preferred
