Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable
Physics Tutor
to represent Jigyasu at a partner school in Korba. You will be the face of "Experiential Learning," responsible for transforming theoretical Physics concepts into engaging, practical demonstrations. Your primary goal will be to manage the Jigyasu Lab and inspire students to explore science through active participation.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstration & Teaching:
Conduct live physics experiments for school students (Grades 6-12), explaining the underlying scientific principles in a simple and engaging manner.
Lab Management:
Take full ownership of the Jigyasu Lab, including the maintenance of 600+ experiment kits and ensuring a safe, organized environment for learning.
Activity Coordination:
Assign and supervise hands-on activities for students, ensuring every child participates in the "Learning by Doing" process.
Curriculum Integration:
Align lab activities with the school's academic curriculum to reinforce classroom learning.
Reporting:
Maintain and update daily reports regarding lab usage, student progress, and experiment outcomes through our digital reporting tools.
Student Mentorship:
Encourage critical thinking and curiosity, helping students relate physics to real-world scenarios.
Required Qualifications
Educational Background:
M.Sc. in Physics (Post-graduation is mandatory).
Teaching Credential:
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education).
Language Skills:
Proficiency in Hindi and English.
Desired Skills & Attributes
Strong conceptual clarity in Physics (Mechanics, Optics, Electricity, etc.).
Excellent communication and presentation skills to hold a young audience's attention.
A "handy" approach--ability to troubleshoot and set up scientific models/kits.
Organized mindset for managing inventory and daily documentation.
Passion for innovation in education and experiential learning.
