Edify School, Chikkabanavara is inviting applications for the position of
PGT Physics
for Classes 11 and 12 (CBSE). This role uniquely combines school teaching and institute-based academic support. The selected candidate will teach at
Edify School for 4 days a week
, and at an affiliated coaching institute in
Jalahalli and Yelahanka for the remaining 2 days
. The ideal candidate will have strong subject expertise, the ability to simplify complex concepts, and experience in preparing students for board examinations and competitive exams.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver structured Physics lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum for Grades 11 and 12.
Teach advanced concepts in Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Optics, Modern Physics, and other senior-secondary topics.
Prepare students for board exams as well as foundational concepts useful for competitive exams like JEE/NEET.
Conduct practical sessions, demonstrations, and experiments as per the Physics lab curriculum.
Design assessments, unit tests, model exams, and provide timely feedback to support student progress.
Maintain accurate academic records including lesson plans, assessment data, student performance logs, and reports.
Provide additional academic support and doubt-clearing sessions at the partner institutes in Jalahalli and Yelahanka.
Collaborate with academic coordinators across the school and coaching institutes to ensure continuity in teaching and learning.
Participate in parent meetings, faculty meetings, and academic events as required.
Create a positive, respectful, and inquiry-driven learning environment that nurtures scientific thinking.
Requirements:
Master's degree (M.Sc) in Physics;
B.Ed is mandatory
.
Prior teaching experience in CBSE senior-secondary (Grades 11-12) is preferred.
Strong conceptual clarity and ability to teach both board-level and entrance-oriented content.
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage students effectively.
Strong classroom management and pedagogical skills.
Familiarity with activity-based, lab-integrated, or experiential teaching approaches is an advantage.
Willingness to travel to Jalahalli and Yelahanka institutes for 2 working days weekly.
