: PGT Mathematics Teacher

Job Summary

The PGT Mathematics Teacher is responsible for teaching Mathematics to senior secondary students (Classes XI-XII), delivering the curriculum effectively, and preparing students for board and competitive examinations while fostering logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic & Teaching

Teach Mathematics to Classes XI and XII as per the prescribed syllabus (CBSE Board). Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards. Explain complex mathematical concepts clearly using appropriate teaching methodologies. Integrate technology, models, and real-life applications into teaching. Prepare students for board exams, entrance exams (JEE/other), and Olympiads where applicable.
Assessment & Evaluation

Design and conduct tests, assignments, and examinations. Evaluate answer scripts and provide constructive feedback. Maintain accurate academic records and student progress reports. Identify learning gaps and provide remedial or enrichment support.
Classroom Management

Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment. Encourage student participation, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Mentor students academically and personally when required.
Administrative & School Duties

Participate in curriculum planning, academic meetings, and school events. Collaborate with other faculty members and department heads. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress. Perform duties assigned by the school administration from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualification:

Master's Degree in Mathematics (M.Sc. Mathematics) B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) - mandatory

Experience:

Minimum 2-5 years of teaching experience at senior secondary School.
