Job Summary

The PGT Mathematics teacher is responsible for teaching Mathematics to senior secondary students (Classes XI and XII) as per the CBSE curriculum, preparing students for board examinations and competitive exams, and contributing to the overall academic and co-curricular development of the school.

Key Responsibilities:-

Teach Mathematics to Classes XI and XII following

CBSE syllabus and guidelines

. Plan and deliver

effective, student-centric lessons

using appropriate teaching methodologies. Prepare

lesson plans

, teaching aids, worksheets, and digital content. Explain complex mathematical concepts clearly and logically. Ensure syllabus completion within stipulated timelines. Conduct

regular assessments

, unit tests, periodic tests, and pre-board exams. Set question papers and evaluate answer scripts as per CBSE norms. Maintain accurate records of attendance, marks, and student progress.
Student Development

Identify learning gaps and provide

remedial teaching

when required. Motivate students for

board exams, Olympiads, JEE/other competitive exams

(if applicable). Guide students in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and logical reasoning. Mentor students academically and support their overall development.
Examination & Evaluation Duties

Prepare students for

CBSE Board Examinations

(Class XII). Participate in

internal assessments, practical/project work

(if applicable). Follow CBSE evaluation schemes and marking guidelines strictly.
Required Qualifications

Post-Graduate degree in Mathematics (M.Sc. Mathematics)

from a recognized university.

B.Ed. degree

(mandatory for CBSE schools). CTET qualification (preferred, as per CBSE norms).
Skills & Competencies

Strong subject knowledge in senior secondary Mathematics. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Ability to simplify complex concepts. Proficiency in using

smart boards, digital tools, and online platforms

. Student-focused, patient, and result-oriented approach.
Experience

Minimum

2-5 years of teaching experience

at senior secondary level preferred. Feshers wih good command over subject may also apply.
