Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Mathematics to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching advanced-level mathematics, a thorough understanding of the subject, and the ability to make learning engaging and accessible for students. The PGT Math teacher will be responsible for imparting knowledge, preparing students for their examinations, and nurturing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Teaching:

Deliver lessons in mathematics to students in grades [insert grade level, e.g., 9-12] based on the prescribed syllabus, including topics such as Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Statistics.

Curriculum Planning:

Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and resources aligned with the curriculum and educational standards. Adapt lessons to meet diverse learning styles and student needs.

Assessment & Evaluation:

Prepare and grade assignments, tests, and examinations. Provide regular feedback to students on their progress and areas for improvement. Conduct periodic evaluations to assess the effectiveness of teaching methods.Establish and maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning. Address student queries, manage behavioral issues, and ensure adherence to school rules.Offer academic guidance and support to students. Help them set learning goals and provide career guidance related to mathematics and related fields.Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress, addressing concerns or challenges, and fostering a partnership between home and school.Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions. Stay updated with the latest teaching methods, educational technologies, and trends in mathematics education.

Education:

Master's degree in Mathematics or a related field (M.A./M.Sc. in Mathematics). Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.

Experience:

Skills:
