Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly competent and passionate Mathematics educator to teach students at the IGCSE and AS/A Level stages under the Cambridge International curriculum. The ideal candidate will have in-depth subject knowledge, a proven record of effective teaching, and the ability to inspire a love for Mathematics in students.

Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Planning & Delivery:

Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the Cambridge syllabus (Extended IGCSE, AS and A Levels - Pure Mathematics, Mechanics, and Statistics). Create detailed lesson plans and instructional materials based on learning objectives and assessment criteria. Integrate inquiry-based learning, problem-solving tasks, and real-world applications in classroom teaching.

Assessment & Evaluation:

Design and administer assessments, assignments, quizzes, and mock exams in line with CIE standards. Analyze student performance, identify learning gaps, and provide timely feedback and academic support. Prepare students thoroughly for IGCSE and A-Level board examinations.

Student Support & Mentoring:

Provide academic support for students at different ability levels. Encourage analytical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and self-learning. Mentor students participating in mathematics competitions or extended academic projects.

Professional Collaboration:

Collaborate with other subject teachers and coordinators to promote cross-disciplinary learning. Participate actively in departmental planning, staff meetings, and school events. Contribute to curriculum reviews, enrichment programs, and academic audits.

Continuous Learning & Development:

Keep updated with changes in the CIE curriculum and evolving pedagogical strategies. Engage in professional development workshops and training sessions organized by the school or external agencies.

Qualifications & Experience:

Postgraduate degree (M.Sc./M.A.) in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics. B.Ed. or equivalent professional teaching qualification (preferred). Minimum 3 years of experience teaching Mathematics at IGCSE and A Level in the CIE curriculum. Familiarity with Cambridge assessment patterns and marking schemes.

Strong subject knowledge in Pure Mathematics, Mechanics, and Statistics. Effective communication and presentation skills. Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction techniques. Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools for teaching and assessment. Passion for teaching and motivating students to achieve their full academic potential.

Pay: ?60,000.00 - ?65,000.00 per month
