Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English teacher to deliver high-quality instruction to students in grades 6-9th following the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should inspire a love for English language and literature, foster critical thinking, and develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach English Language and Literature to students from Classes 9 to 12, as per CBSE guidelines. Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments aligned with CBSE standards. Deliver engaging and interactive classroom sessions that cater to different learning styles. Teach grammar, comprehension, creative writing, prose, poetry, and drama effectively. Prepare students for internal assessments, board exams, and other academic benchmarks. Foster a classroom environment conducive to learning, collaboration, and respect. Provide timely feedback on assignments, tests, and projects; maintain accurate student records. Organize and guide students in co-curricular activities like debates, essay writing, elocutions, and literature clubs. Collaborate with other teachers, academic coordinators, and school leadership to ensure academic excellence. Stay updated with changes in the CBSE curriculum and implement best practices in teaching. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and conduct. Participate in school events, workshops, staff meetings, and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and Master's degree (M.A.) in English. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) mandatory. Proven experience teaching English at the high school level, preferably in a CBSE-affiliated school.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong command over written and spoken English. Deep knowledge of CBSE curriculum, assessment patterns, and evaluation techniques. Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and engage students of diverse backgrounds. Creative, organized, and flexible in lesson delivery. Competency with educational technology tools (smart boards, LMS, etc.).
