Job Profile: PGT Geography Teacher

Position: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) - Geography

Board: ICSE / ISC

Experience: 5 years of teaching experience in ICSE-affiliated schools

Role & Responsibilities

Teach Geography to students of Classes 6 -11 as per ICSE and ISC curriculum. Plan and deliver structured lessons with focus on physical, human, and environmental geography. Train students for ICSE & ISC Board Examinations, including map work, case studies, and analytical questions. Conduct practical geography sessions using maps, globes, charts, and digital tools. Prepare students through assignments, projects, class tests, and pre-board examinations. Provide mentorship, academic guidance, and career counselling to senior students. Maintain accurate student progress records and coordinate with parents for feedback. Integrate ICT-based teaching tools and modern pedagogy in classrooms. Assist in school activities, exhibitions, educational trips, and competitions. Ensure discipline and promote a positive learning environment in line with the school's ethos.
Eligibility & Requirements

Education: Master's Degree in Geography + B.Ed. (mandatory). Experience: 5 years of teaching experience in ICSE-affiliated schools. Familiarity with ICSE & ISC examination patterns and evaluation processes. Strong command of English communication skills (written & spoken). Ability to use GIS tools, multimedia resources, and smart classroom technology effectively. Passionate about student development and academic excellence.
Desirable Advantage

Experience as an ICSE/ISC Examiner or Paper Evaluator. Ability to guide students for competitive exams and higher studies in Geography.
