Job Description

A PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) in English plans and delivers lessons on English language and literature to senior secondary students (grades 11-12), fostering critical thinking and improving their reading, writing, and speaking skills. Key responsibilities include developing engaging lesson plans, assessing student performance through various methods, providing individualized support, creating a positive learning environment, collaborating with colleagues, and preparing students for board examinations. Responsibilities

Lesson Planning and Delivery:

Create and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cover grammar, vocabulary, literature, composition, and comprehension.

Curriculum Development:

Maintain a well-structured curriculum aligned with academic standards and educational goals.

Student Assessment:

Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback through tests, assignments, projects, and other assessments.

Classroom Management:

Establish and maintain an orderly, positive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes active student engagement.

Individualized Support:

Offer extra guidance and support to students who need help with their English skills.

Literature Exploration:

Introduce students to various literary genres, authors, and texts, encouraging critical analysis and interpretation.

Exam Preparation:

Develop strategies and practice tests to prepare students effectively for board exams.

Professional Development:

Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions to stay updated with educational trends and improve teaching skills.

Collaboration:

Work with other teachers and administrative staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience for students.
Qualifications & Skills

Education:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in English or a related field, along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).

Teaching Certification:

Possess the appropriate certification for the Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) grade level.

Teaching Experience:

Prior teaching experience, preferably in a secondary or higher secondary school setting.

Communication Skills:

Excellent command of spoken and written English, along with strong interpersonal skills.

Inspiration & Engagement:

Ability to inspire and engage students in the learning process.

Critical Thinking:

Strong ability to foster critical thinking and analytical skills in students.

Pay: ?35,000.00 - ?45,000.00 per month
