Required Candidate's Profile - PGT English Teacher

1. Educational Qualifications:

Post Graduate in English from a recognized university. Graduate in English (Honours/Pass) from a recognized university. B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) from a recognized institution. CTET/TET qualified (if applicable as per school board norms).

2. Experience:

Minimum 5 years of teaching English at Senior Secondary level. Experience with CBSE/ICSE curriculum is an added advantage.

3. Subject Proficiency:

In-depth knowledge of English literature, grammar, writing, and communication skills. Ability to teach both language and literature components effectively.

4. Skills & Competencies:

Excellent command over spoken and written English. Strong classroom management and student engagement skills. Creative and innovative in lesson planning and teaching methods. Tech-savvy with the ability to use digital tools (e.g., smart boards, PPTs, educational apps). Capable of preparing students for internal assessments, board exams, and other competitions.

5. Personal Qualities:

Passionate about teaching and mentoring students. Approachable, empathetic, and patient. Energetic, confident, and enthusiastic. Strong work ethic and a team player.

6. Other Requirements:

Willing to participate in extracurricular activities, events, and parent-teacher interactions. Open to continuous learning and attending professional development sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach English language and literature to classes as assigned (9th to 12th). Prepare lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives. Use innovative teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes. Assess students through tests, assignments, and projects. Provide regular feedback to students and parents. Maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment. Participate in school events, activities, and staff meetings. Stay updated with curriculum changes and educational best practices.
