Eklavya Sports School seeks a passionate and experienced
PGT English Teacher
to lead senior secondary classes (IX-XII) with excellence. The ideal candidate will foster strong linguistic, literary, and critical thinking skills while promoting communication competence among sportspersons and academic achievers alike.
The candidate must be capable of integrating English language learning with real-life expression, contemporary curriculum frameworks, and co-scholastic initiatives like debates, theatre, and creative writing.
Key Responsibilities
Teach English Core (CBSE IX-XII) and English Elective as per CBSE norms.
Develop lesson plans that enhance language proficiency, literary appreciation, and writing skills.
Prepare students for board examinations through structured assessments and feedback.
Foster participation in English-related co-curriculars--debate, elocution, creative writing, dramatics, and newsletters.
Maintain student performance records, prepare academic reports, and contribute to school documentation.
Support curriculum planning, academic audits, and school improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with staff for inter-house and inter-school events, including cultural and literary festivals.
Provide academic mentoring and communication skill training to student-athletes.
Uphold school values of discipline, responsibility, and excellence.
Qualification & Experience
Post Graduate Degree in English (M.A. English) from a recognized university.
B.Ed. (Mandatory as per CBSE norms).
Minimum 3 years of experience teaching senior secondary English in a CBSE-affiliated school (Preferred).
Strong command of English (spoken and written) with a flair for creative expression and communication training.
