Job Summary:

The PGT English is responsible for teaching English language and literature to senior secondary students, fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment, and promoting academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Lesson Planning: Deliver lessons on English language, literature, and grammar as per the curriculum. Prepare and execute detailed lesson plans, incorporating innovative teaching methods and digital tools. Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and literary appreciation among students.

Assessment & Evaluation: Design, administer, and evaluate class tests, assignments, and examinations. Provide constructive feedback to students to support learning and improvement.

Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and updating of the English curriculum. Recommend suitable resources, supplementary materials, and reference books.

Student Support & Mentorship: Guide and mentor students academically and emotionally. Address individual learning needs and support weaker students.

Co-curricular Activities: Organize and participate in debates, elocutions, dramatics, literary fests, and other language-related activities.

Professional Development: Stay updated with latest teaching methodologies, educational research, and best practices in English education. Participate in workshops, seminars, and teacher training programs.

Qualifications & Skills: Master's degree in English or equivalent. B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification. Excellent command over English language (both spoken and written). Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Passion for teaching and nurturing young minds.
