Role Purpose
To teach English at the Senior Secondary level (Classes XI-XII) in accordance with CBSE curriculum and guidelines, ensuring academic excellence, language proficiency, and holistic development of students.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
Teach English (Core/Elective) to Classes XI and XII as per
CBSE syllabus and assessment framework
.
Prepare
annual, unit-wise, and lesson plans
aligned with learning outcomes and competency-based education.
Deliver engaging lessons focusing on
reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and literature appreciation
.
Conduct regular
formative and summative assessments
as prescribed by CBSE.
Design question papers, worksheets, assignments, and projects as per CBSE norms.
Evaluate answer scripts and maintain accurate academic records.
Curriculum & Pedagogy
Integrate
experiential learning, critical thinking, and communicative approaches
in teaching.
Incorporate
ICT tools, multimedia resources, and innovative teaching strategies
.
Support students in developing analytical and creative writing skills.
Provide remedial teaching and enrichment activities as required.
Student Development
Mentor and guide students for
academic progress, board examinations, and career orientation
.
Encourage participation in
debates, declamations, dramatics, creative writing, and literary clubs
.
Promote values, ethics, and effective communication skills.
Administrative & Professional Duties
Maintain
lesson plans, attendance, student portfolios, and assessment records
.
Participate actively in
staff meetings, trainings, workshops, and CBSE capacity-building programmes
.
Assist in examination duties, invigilation, and evaluation work.
Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum planning and interdisciplinary activities.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.
Qualifications (as per CBSE norms)
Post Graduation (M.A.) in English
from a recognized university.
B.Ed.
from a recognized institution.
Qualified
CTET / STET
(where applicable).
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Skills & Competencies
Strong command over English language and literature.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Student-centric and inclusive teaching approach.
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to diverse learning needs.
Professional ethics, discipline, and commitment to continuous learning.
Experience
Minimum experience as prescribed by CBSE/school management (Freshers with strong subject knowledge may also be considered).
Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 60 months
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
