Job Description

A PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) English Teacher plans and delivers advanced English lessons (Literature & Language) to senior secondary students (Grades 11-12), focusing on critical thinking, reading, writing, comprehension, and exam prep, while also managing classrooms, assessing progress, collaborating with colleagues, and potentially organizing literary activities like debates, using modern tech to foster a stimulating learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum & Instruction:

Develop and deliver engaging, advanced lessons in English Language & Literature, aligning with CBSE/board norms.

Skill Development:

Enhance students' grammar, writing, speaking, comprehension, and critical analysis skills.

Assessment & Feedback:

Design assignments, tests, and exams; provide timely feedback and maintain records of student performance.

Classroom Environment:

Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom that encourages creativity and participation.

Exam Preparation:

Prepare senior students for board exams through revisions, mock tests, and targeted guidance.

Extracurriculars:

Organize and participate in literary clubs, debates, drama, and other co-curricular activities.

Technology Integration:

Incorporate modern teaching methods and digital tools (ICT).

Parent & Admin Communication:

Regularly update parents and school management on student progress.

Professional Development:

Stay updated on new methodologies and engage in training.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

Master's degree in English (M.A. English) & B.Ed. (mandatory for CBSE).

Subject Expertise:

Deep knowledge of English literature, grammar, and language nuances.

Pedagogy:

Strong lesson planning, classroom management, and innovative teaching skills.

Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to inspire students, collaborate with colleagues, and communicate effectively with parents
