Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and proficient PGT English Teacher to teach Grades 11 and 12 under the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should have strong language skills, deep literary understanding, and the ability to develop students' communication, comprehension, and critical thinking abilities as they prepare for board examinations and higher studies.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English Core as per the CBSE curriculum for Grades 11 and 12. Teach literature, grammar, reading comprehension, and writing skills effectively, ensuring concept clarity. Prepare students for CBSE board examinations through targeted practice, sample papers, and feedback. Evaluate assignments, class tests, written tasks, and projects to monitor student progress. Guide students in improving their writing--essays, reports, notices, articles, and analytical responses. Use discussions, group activities, audio-visual tools, and real-life contexts to enhance learning. Maintain lesson plans, assessment records, and student progress data as per school requirements. Collaborate with other faculty members for interdisciplinary projects and academic planning. Actively participate in school events, literary clubs, debates, elocution competitions, and co-curricular activities.

Qualifications and SkillsEducation

Master's Degree in English/Literature with B.Ed (mandatory).

Experience

Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience in Grades 11-12 at a CBSE or equivalent school.

Skills

Excellent command over English language and strong communication skills. Ability to simplify complex literary themes and writing components. Experience in preparing students for board exams using CBSE patterns and competency-based questions. Strong classroom management and student engagement skills. Proficiency in using digital tools, smart boards, and resources for interactive learning.

Additional Requirements

Willingness to stay on campus and contribute to the residential school environment. Ability to mentor students beyond classroom hours, including doubt-clearing and supervised study sessions. Participation in academic planning, student guidance, and school community-building activities.
