Job Summary:

The PGT English Teacher is responsible for teaching English language and literature to senior secondary students (Classes XI-XII), fostering critical thinking, communication skills, and a deep appreciation of literature. The role involves academic planning, student assessment, and active participation in the school's academic and co-curricular life.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

Teach English Language and Literature as per CBSE/ISC/State Board curriculum (Classes XI-XII) Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills Prepare students for board examinations and competitive exams

Curriculum & Assessment

Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments Evaluate answer scripts, projects, and presentations Maintain accurate academic records and student progress reports Provide remedial support and enrichment activities where required

Classroom Management

Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive learning environment Encourage participation, creativity, and independent thinking Use innovative teaching methods and digital tools effectively

Co-curricular & Professional Duties

Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and workshops Contribute to literary clubs, debates, dramatics, and school events Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress Support school policies, values, and academic initiatives

Qualifications

Master's Degree in English (M.A. English) B.Ed. (mandatory) Qualified as per CBSE/State Board norms

Experience

Minimum 2-5 years of teaching experience at senior secondary level preferred Freshers with strong subject knowledge may also apply (if applicable)

Skills & Competencies

Excellent command of spoken and written English Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to inspire and motivate senior secondary students Familiarity with board exam patterns and assessment methods Proficiency in smart boards, LMS, and digital teaching tool

Salary:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Accommodation available for outstation candidate.
