Job Description
A PGT (English) in a school is responsible for teaching English language and literature to senior secondary classes, focusing on developing students' reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills. The role includes planning and delivering engaging lessons as per the prescribed curriculum, assessing students through tests and assignments, preparing them for board examinations, and encouraging literary appreciation through debates, discussions, and creative writing activities. A PGT (English) also participates in academic planning, maintains records, supports students' overall development, and contributes to school activities while upholding academic standards and discipline.
