Job Summary:

The PGT Commerce Teacher is responsible for teaching Commerce subjects to senior secondary students (Classes XI-XII), focusing on conceptual clarity, practical application, and preparation for board and competitive examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver Commerce lessons as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE / ICSE / State Board, as applicable). Teach core subjects such as Accountancy, Business Studies, and Economics (as applicable). Develop students' financial literacy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Prepare students for internal assessments, projects, practical work, and board examinations. Set question papers, evaluate answer scripts, and maintain academic and performance records. Guide students in project work, case studies, accounting practices, and business simulations. Use innovative teaching methods, real-life examples, and digital tools to enhance learning. Provide remedial coaching and academic support to students where required. Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment. Participate in curriculum planning, academic meetings, workshops, and professional development programs. Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress. Take additional responsibilities such as class teacher duties, exam invigilation, and school activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

Educational Qualification:

Master's Degree in Commerce / Business Administration / Economics B.Ed. (Mandatory)

Experience:

Minimum 2-5 years of teaching experience at senior secondary level preferred Experience handling board examination classes is an added advantage

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of Commerce subjects and accounting principles. Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and practically. Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and digital teaching tools. Effective classroom management and student mentoring skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?45,000.00 per month
