The PGT Chemistry Teacher is responsible for teaching Chemistry to senior secondary students (Classes XI-XII), with a strong focus on conceptual clarity, practical laboratory skills, and preparation for board and competitive examinations.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver Chemistry lessons as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE / ICSE / State Board, as applicable).
Teach Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry effectively.
Conduct Chemistry laboratory practicals, demonstrations, and experiments in compliance with safety norms.
Prepare students for internal assessments, practical exams, and board examinations.
Set question papers, evaluate answer scripts, maintain academic records, and analyze student performance.
Use innovative teaching methods, digital tools, and smart classroom technology to enhance learning outcomes.
Provide remedial coaching and academic support to students as required.
Maintain discipline and a safe learning environment in classrooms and laboratories.
Participate in curriculum planning, academic meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.
Guide students in projects, assignments, and science-related activities.
Take additional responsibilities such as class teacher duties, exam invigilation, and school events.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Qualification:
Master's Degree in Chemistry
B.Ed. (Mandatory)
Experience:
Minimum 2-5 years of teaching experience at senior secondary level preferred
Experience in handling board examination classes is an added advantage
