Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons for

Classes XI and XII

as per

CBSE curriculum guidelines

. Ensure effective coverage of syllabus, practical experiments, projects, and internal assessments. Prepare students for

CBSE Board Examinations

and practical assessments. Conduct laboratory sessions, ensuring adherence to

safety norms and laboratory protocols

. Design worksheets, question papers, assignments, and remedial/enrichment activities. Use innovative teaching strategies, digital tools, and experiential learning methods to enhance conceptual understanding. Assess, evaluate, and document student progress through tests, practicals, and continuous assessment. Maintain accurate academic records, lesson plans, lab records, and student portfolios. Participate actively in school academic planning, meetings, training programs, and professional development workshops. Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and school initiatives. Mentor students and guide them academically and ethically. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and development when required.

Qualifications & Experience

Postgraduate Degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry

from a recognized university.

B.Ed.

(Mandatory) from a recognized institution. Minimum

2-5 years of teaching experience

as PGT Chemistry in a CBSE school . Strong command over

CBSE syllabus, board exam pattern, and evaluation criteria

.

Required Skills & Competencies

Excellent subject knowledge and conceptual clarity. Strong classroom management and student engagement skills. Proficiency in using

ICT tools, smart boards, and digital resources

for teaching. Effective communication skills (oral and written). Ability to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific temperament among students. Commitment to professional ethics, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
