The PGT Chemistry is responsible for teaching Chemistry to senior secondary students (Classes XI & XII), developing strong conceptual understanding, and preparing students for board examinations and competitive entrance tests. The role includes effective classroom instruction, laboratory work, and academic mentoring.

Teach
Chemistry
to Classes XI and XII as per the prescribed syllabus
Deliver engaging, concept-based lessons covering Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry
Explain complex chemical concepts and numerical problem-solving techniques clearly
Integrate real-life applications and recent scientific developments into teaching
Prepare students for
board examinations and competitive exams
(JEE/NEET, where applicable)
Laboratory & Practical Work
Plan, conduct, and supervise Chemistry practicals as per curriculum guidelines
Ensure laboratory safety, proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals
Guide students in practical files, investigatory projects, and experiments
Assessment & Evaluation
Prepare question papers, worksheets, assignments, and periodic tests
Evaluate answer scripts and maintain accurate academic records
Analyze student performance and provide remedial or enrichment support
Maintain progress reports and examination documentation
Student Mentoring & Development
Mentor students for academic excellence and career guidance
Encourage analytical thinking, experimentation, and scientific inquiry
Support students in projects, Olympiads, and science-related competitions
Institutional Responsibilities
Participate in faculty meetings, training programs, and workshops
Contribute to school events, examinations, and co-curricular activities
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress
Maintain discipline and a safe, positive learning environment
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree in Chemistry (M.Sc. Chemistry)
B.Ed.
(mandatory as per board norms)
Experience
Minimum
2-4 years
of teaching experience at secondary level (preferred)
Freshers with strong subject knowledge may be considered
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of Chemistry concepts
Ability to conduct practicals safely and confidently
Effective classroom management and communication skills
Familiarity with digital teaching tools and smart classrooms
Student-centered and innovative teaching approach
