will be responsible for delivering high-quality Chemistry instruction to students of Classes 9 to 12, following the CBSE curriculum. The role requires effective lesson planning, laboratory management, assessment, and student mentoring. The teacher is also expected to prepare students for CBSE board examinations and competitive exams like JEE/NEET, while actively contributing to the overall academic and scientific culture of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic Instruction
Teach Chemistry to Classes 9-12 in alignment with the CBSE curriculum and NCERT syllabus.
Prepare and implement detailed, engaging, and concept-based lesson plans.
Integrate theory with real-life applications and promote inquiry-based learning.
2. Practical & Laboratory Management
Conduct Chemistry practical classes as per CBSE guidelines, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, materials, and chemicals.
Supervise student experiments and ensure accurate recording of practical files.
3. Student Assessment & Evaluation
Design and conduct class tests, assignments, projects, and terminal exams.
Prepare, evaluate, and analyze examination papers and student performance.
Maintain comprehensive academic records and share feedback with students and parents.
4. Board Exam & Competitive Exam Preparation
Provide thorough preparation for Classes 10 & 12 CBSE board examinations.
Share tips, tricks, and strategies for effective exam preparation and time management.
5. Student Support & Mentorship
Identify academic strengths and areas for improvement in students and provide targeted support.
Encourage students to participate in Chemistry Olympiads, science fairs, and related competitions.
Mentor students interested in pursuing careers in science, engineering, and medicine.
6. Classroom Management & Discipline
Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Uphold and enforce school discipline, attendance, and behavior policies.
Promote scientific thinking, ethical reasoning, and curiosity.
7. Academic & Institutional Participation
Attend and contribute to staff meetings, departmental planning, school functions, and professional development programs.
Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary projects and science exhibitions.
Assist with invigilation duties, event organization, and school documentation.
8. Professional Development & Compliance
Stay updated with changes in the CBSE curriculum, teaching practices, and advancements in Chemistry.
Participate in in-house and external training programs, workshops, and CBSE capacity-building sessions.
Ensure adherence to academic policies, teaching standards, and assessment guidelines issued by CBSE.
