Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Mathematics educator to teach the Cambridge International curriculum at the IGCSE and AS/A Level stages. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, effective pedagogical skills, and prior experience in delivering Mathematics within the CIE framework.

Key Responsibilities:Curriculum Delivery:

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Mathematics syllabus. Incorporate a range of teaching strategies, including problem-solving, inquiry-based learning, and real-world application of mathematical concepts. Use appropriate technology tools and digital platforms to enhance instruction and assessment.

Lesson Planning and Assessment:

Develop lesson plans, assessments, and teaching materials aligned with CIE learning objectives. Prepare students for external examinations with effective revision strategies and mock assessments. Analyze student performance data and provide timely, constructive feedback.

Student Support and Development:

Offer academic guidance and support to students with varying levels of mathematical ability. Encourage critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and a growth mindset among learners. Mentor students for mathematics-related competitions, projects, or extended coursework if required.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with the Head of Department and colleagues to ensure cohesive and integrated curriculum planning. Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and guardians on student progress and performance. Participate actively in school events, staff meetings, and professional development programs.

Professional Growth:

Stay informed about updates in the Cambridge curriculum and global best practices in mathematics education. Engage in continuous learning and professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience:

Postgraduate degree (M.Sc.) in Mathematics or a related field. B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred). Minimum 3 years of experience teaching Mathematics in the Cambridge curriculum at IGCSE and AS/A Level. Familiarity with the CIE assessment framework and marking schemes.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong content knowledge in Pure Mathematics, Statistics, and Mechanics (as per curriculum requirements). Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to differentiate instruction and meet diverse learning needs. Technologically adept with online teaching tools and platforms. A passion for teaching and inspiring students to excel in Mathematics.

Pay: ?60,000.00 - ?65,000.00 per month
