Educational Qualification

:

Master's Degree in Biotechnology (M.Sc. in Biotechnology or equivalent).

Experience

:

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Biotechnology at the senior secondary level (Grades 11-12) is preferred.

PART TIME

Skills

: Strong knowledge of the subject and current developments in the field of Biotechnology. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner. Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools for teaching and assessments.

Key Responsibilities

:

Teaching and Instruction

: Deliver lessons in Biotechnology as per the curriculum prescribed by the educational board. Use effective teaching methods, instructional resources, and materials to engage students in the learning process. Conduct practicals, demonstrations, and experiments to help students understand complex biotechnological concepts. Maintain a clear understanding of curriculum requirements and ensure that students are well-prepared for examinations. Prepare and administer regular assessments (tests, quizzes, assignments) to evaluate students' understanding of the subject. Provide constructive feedback to students on their academic progress and areas for improvement. Prepare and grade final exams, and ensure accurate record-keeping of student performance.

Classroom Management

: Foster a positive and disciplined learning environment where students feel encouraged to participate and ask questions. Address students' academic and personal concerns, and provide guidance where necessary. Implement effective classroom management techniques to ensure a conducive environment for learning.

Curriculum Development

: Contribute to the development of teaching materials, resources, and lesson plans. Stay updated with the latest advancements in biotechnology and integrate these into the curriculum to enhance students' learning experience.

Parent-Teacher Communication

: Regularly communicate with parents regarding students' academic performance and behavior. Participate in parent-teacher meetings and provide valuable insights into student development.

Professional Development

: Engage in continuous learning and professional development to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge. Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions related to Biotechnology and teaching methodologies.
