The PGT Accountancy Teacher will be responsible for teaching
Accountancy and related Commerce subjects
to Senior Secondary students under both
CBSE and CAIE (Cambridge Assessment International Education)
curricula. The role involves developing students' conceptual clarity, analytical reasoning, and practical financial understanding. Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive lessons in
Accountancy, Business, and Financial Studies
for both
CBSE
and
CAIE
streams.
Teach and assess topics such as:
CBSE Curriculum:
Accounting for Partnership Firms, Companies, Financial Statements, Analysis of Financial Statements, Cash Flow Statements, etc.
CAIE Curriculum:
Financial Accounting principles, Double-entry systems, Control accounts, Ratio analysis, Costing, and interpretation of final accounts.
Prepare lesson plans that integrate
conceptual understanding
,
practical application
, and
ethical financial decision-making
.
Develop differentiated teaching materials to cater to CBSE and Cambridge learners' academic needs.
Prepare students for
CBSE Board Exams
and
Cambridge IGCSE / AS & A Level
examinations.
Assess and record students' progress, providing feedback that supports individual learning goals.
Incorporate real-world business examples, simulations, and accounting software (e.g., Tally, Excel-based analysis) to build practical skills.
Guide students in
project work

Cambridge coursework/assignments
as per curriculum guidelines.
Foster analytical, critical thinking, and ethical perspectives in financial management.
Participate in
Cambridge and CBSE professional development training

Qualification & Experience:
Educational Qualification:
Post Graduate Degree in Commerce / Accountancy / Business Studies.
B.Ed. (mandatory).
Additional Cambridge certification (e.g.,
Cambridge International Diploma in Teaching & Learning
) preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience at the Senior Secondary level in
CBSE and/or CAIE curriculum
(English-medium school preferred).
Experience in preparing students for
CBSE Board Exams
and
Cambridge IGCSE / AS & A Level Accountancy
desirable.
