and supporting documents is followed in a uniform manner and that the relevant te\xc3\xa1\xc2\xa3n participants are invited for the sessions
Coordinating the PFMEA activities across different areas of responsibility and reporting on the overall progress and status of the PFMEAs for the
respective area Responsible for the PFMEA plan in projects unless other
decision is made in the project.
The purpose of the PFMEA is to support manufactunng process development in reducing the risk of failures by:

  • Identifying and evaluating the process functions and requirements
  • Identifying and evaluating potential product and process related failure modes, and the effects of the potential failures on the process and customers
  • Identifying process variables on which to focus process controls for occurrence reduction or increased detection of the failure conditions
  • Enabling the establishment of a prioritization system for preventive/corrective action and controls through mitigation criteria
The manufacturing processes of products in Siemens Gamesa must be evaluated for potential failures to secure prevention and/or reduction of potential risks and nonconformities.
The PFMEA is part of continuous improvement activities within APQP that ensure potential failure modes and associated causes that could occur within the designed process are identified in a structured,
  • Maintains technical product files.
  • Analyzes existing development procedures and suggests improvements.
  • Implements or tests design solutions.
  • Upgrades the design of existing devices by adding mechanical elements.
  • Analyzes localization requirements and designs/adapts products and solutions accordingly.
