Job Description

1. Responsible for the overall management of the Petroleum Laboratory.
2. Competent to perform sampling and laboratory Analysis.
3. Maintain a thorough understanding of sampling techniques of transformer Oil and Engine Oils from equipment.
4. Maintain Quality control of Laboratory solutions, standards, calibration and prepare quality records/Documentation.
5. Knowledge of specifications and methodologies described in national and international standards
6. Well experienced in the analysis of the following products:
a. Petroleum Products (Bitumen, Modified Bitumen, Bitumen Emulsions, Lubricants, Grease, Engine Oil, Cutting Oil, Wax)
b. Fuels: (Coal, Coke, Diesel, Gasoline, Kerosene, ATF, LDO, RDF)
7. Electrical Properties of Transformer Oil-Tan, Delta, Resistivity & dielectric constant, dissolved gases, Trend analysis, fault identification and working life of transformers.
8. Well-versed with instruments like GCV apparatus, four-ball tester, GC, HPLC, DSR, TOGA, CHNS, elemental analyzer, XRF etc.
9. Assure compliance with QMS, EMS, OH&S, and ISO/IS:17025 standards
10. Orientated towards research Activities. Identify funding agencies/ sponsors and prepare and submit proposals
11. Participate in marketing efforts and explain the scope of Laboratory analysis.
